PPO publish anonymised complaint investigation summaries on website

From August, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will publish summaries of anonymised complaints we have upheld or partially upheld.

Ombudsman Adrian Usher introduced this to the website in order to facilitate change:

“It is important that the services in our remit are held accountable. By sharing anonymised summaries of our complaint investigations, we can be transparent about our recommendations, and we can share with stakeholders the range and type of complaints we investigate, as well as our uphold rate.”

The summaries will be published every other month and are available to view here: Complaint investigation summaries – Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (justice.gov.uk)
